Marquette Choral Festival

On Monday February 4th, the Reagan Treble Choir participated in the Marquette Choral Festival. Students had the opportunity to work with Milikin University professor Brad Holmes.

Jazz Band Represents MPS at National School Choice Celebration

On Wednesday January 30th the Reagan Jazz Band performed for Governor Scott Walker, Mayor Tom Barrett, County Executive Chris Abele, State Superintendent Tony Evers, and MPS Superintendent Dr. Gregory Thornton at the National School Choice Whistle Stop Tour.  During his speech Dr. Thornton acknowledged Reagan High School as the #2 High School in the state of Wisconsin according to the US News and World Report. 

The Jazz Band was selected as the "house band" performing opening and closing music at the downtown Milwaukee Grain Exchange building.  They also performed a feature, "Jumpin' at the Woodside" by Count Bassie, during the ceremony.  Also representing Reagan High School were Principal Mike Reomer, members of YES "Youth Empowered in the Struggle," and yearbook photographer Liz K.  Congratulations to all for representing Milwaukee's public choice option with highest honors! 

Musical FLASH MOB!

Students from the cast of Bye Bye Birdie got all dressed up in costumes to spread the word to the Reagan student body about this weekend's performances! Lots of great laughs and fun in anticipation of a fabulous show. Come check it out this Friday, Saturday (7pm) and Sunday (2pm)-- you won't be disappointed!

Final rehearsals are underway for Reagan High School's 3rd annual winter musical:  Bye Bye Birdie! Come check out this Broadway classic next weekend!  Please spread the word and invite friends and family to attend this exciting event!

Congrats WI Conservatory Scholarship Recipients!

Congratulations to five Reagan student musicians who received private lesson scholarships to the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music.  Each student submitted an application essay and teacher recommendation to be considered for this scholarship.  Students will receive weekly private lessons on her instrument/voice.  Also, this scholarship is renewable for all of her years at Reagan.  Thank you to the Partnership for the Arts, the WI Conservatory and Max Day for providing this incredible opportunity!

Construction of the set for musical is complete!

Thank you to Stage Crew advisor Nick Onorato and members of the Bye Bye Birdie cast and crew for their hard work on the set for the upcoming musical production January 25-27th. Come out to show your support and enjoy a great show!

Piano Club students perform first "mini recital"

The 14 piano club students finished up a successful semester of music study with a recital of their first pieces of piano repertoire! Congratulations students-- Your hard work and practice paid off!
